In order to keep costs down for the 2006 Canadian University Ultimate Championships, the CUUC 2006 Organizing Comittee is petitioning the greater Ottawa-area Ultimate community for their assistance in billeting teams that are travelling from out of town.
Our plan is to give priority to teams travelling from the furthest away (we already have requests from UBC, U Alberta, U Saskatoon among others).
University Ultimate is in its infancy in Canada and growing. None of these teams receive any funding from their respective administrations, and all costs are left to be shouldered by the players themselves.
If you are an Ultimate enthusiast and wish to help these aspiring athletes, we would greatly appreciate your help.
We are looking for as much floorspace possible for the nights of Thursday October 12th, Friday the 13th, and Saturday the 14th.
If you are interested, please e-mail the Billeting Coordinator, Brian Kells (uOttawa) -- cuuc2006billet@gmail.com -- with the following information:
-Your name -How many people can you billet? (The ideal minimum is at least a car load) -All 3 nights? Only one of the nights? -Your full address -Your pertinent contact information (home phone, work phone, cell, e-mail, etc) -Your favourite beer/wine/spirits so that our teams can show their appreciation to you.
And most importantly, please forward this e-mail to anyone remotely connected to Ultimate in Ottawa. You know how it is.
Thanks for your time.

Just for clarification, are you just looking for spare bedrooms or is floorspace cool.

I have to talk to my hubby first, but I think we can help you, Brian. We have enough space to fit 4 comfortably and even more if they want to sleep in the living room. I'll get back to you.

I hope there's some girls in there... because 12 guys sharing two futons is just not on.

I don't think so. They're all taking the carpeted floor upstairs, though I'm not against a little cuddling. After all, I am doing this for the same reason as Maggie Gyllenhaal.

A few people are really allergic to cats and I have space so why split the team between two houses if it's not necessary?
