www.ocua.ca/node/6755The only thing I don't think I'm too keen on is that when you fake a throw from your knees, you're now allowed to stand up as long as your pivot is in the same position on the ground. I enjoyed calling those travels. Otherwise, it should be good fun.

Dude, I was freakin' out at work when I first saw this and my coworkers couldn't understand what I was jabbering about. I'm looking forward to actually reading it all and then finding loopholes...

I enjoyed calling those travels. Otherwise, it should be good fun. It wouldn't be a travel according to the old rules. As long as you have the same pivot point, then it is not a travel. If a person is able to go into the splits to fake a flick, they can jump back up and throw a backhand, as long as their pivot doesn't move it is not a travel, even though their butt might be on the ground before they get back up for their backhand. They haven't actually changed that rule. I guess they just spelled it out a bit clearer.

If you fake from your knees or your butt in 10th, the only way you you can stand up is if you keep your foot in the same place while you stand up. It's kinda difficult. In 11th, it seems you're momentarily allowed to lose contact with the ground to stand up, as long as your foot goes back to where it was when you were sitting.
