I could use a volunteer or two to help me tonight at Lansdowne, from 9:00-11:00 with IID tryouts. Several of the people I originally had in mind turned out to be unavailable. If you have experience running a tryout that would be great, but not completely necessary - all you really need is to have a loud voice and organize people.
What I need you to do is the following:
1. Take a sheet I'm going to give you which will include about 8-10 names on it and evaluate each individual on several characteristisc ( written notes, doesn't have to be extensive ).
2. Run drills, I'm open to ideas but there are some standards. You'll also demonstrate some hopefully good techniques in doing these drills.
3. Watch the scrimmage and perhaps organize your team into handlers, have a formation or plan, etc.
4. Use a stopwatch, or just a digital watch with a timer to time people in a running drill and record the results. I'm still dreaming up potential courses that involve shuffling, running backwards, etc.
Much like last year I'll be splitting applicants up into 3 teams per night, Black, White and Red. Each team will have about 10 people in it. I might also have one person watch the IAD tryouts each night, with a list of names that I don't know at all to glean information on. Meanwhile I will actually be there, so I won't be delegating everything to you all, but your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Tonight's weather is going to be miserable, I could use a volunteer just to hold my umbrella ( think, at least you'll stay dry! ).
But seriously Al and Marc thanks for the offer, I'm going to email you separately. I'd like you to watch a specific subset of people trying out for IAD and report back to me. You'll need a clipboard ( one that closes to keep out the wet preferably ) and pen, I'll provide the sheets/names.
